I used to live in Northern Afghanistan, in Faryab provice. Though an Uzbek area, the women are still quite conservative in dress.This was in early winter.

Ghostly women's outline !! i like the movement in their dresses and the blue color in the sad atmosphere of the street. It makes a great picture. But i don't think that i would like to wear these clothes, it's difficult to imagine for a french woman and i know that women's living conditions are very difficult there....

@Evelyne Dubos: Thanks for the comment. There are plenty of French women working and living in Afghanistan, though not wearing the burka! the rules are a bit different for foreigners.
