S-21, Phnom PenhPosted by Phil Sparrow (Perth, Australia) on 16 February 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture. At S-21, the primary venue used by the Khmer Rouge for interrogation and torture and execution in Phnom Penh. I took a long time there, and found, in a disused room, a pile of clothes and shoes, taken from prisoners and internees. ID cards, hats, caps, shoes, jackets: once worn, and used. The remainders of peoples' lives.
